NEW YORK — A Wall Street bond trader who owns the only complete collection of 19th century U.S. postage stamps will auction off a part of his foreign stamps to benefit a project that delivers seeds and fertilizer to Africa.
The 110 rare 19th and early 20th century stamps from Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden in Bill Gross' collection will be sold on May 16 at the Spink Shreves Galleries in New York City, the auction house said Monday.
